Stations of the Cross
Greetings from Mr. Gault

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Christ has risen! These joyous words welcomed The De La Salle School Gentlemen back for their final full month of the 2018-2019 school year. This season of joy also brings much celebration to The De La Salle School Community with our annual Spring Gala. We welcomed several young gentlemen into the church as they received the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion while preparing for Confirmation in the fall. We rejoice as many of our 5th Grade students prepare to serve our community as altar servers. Most importantly, we look forward to celebrating the upcoming graduation of the Class of 2019.

The De La Salle School concluded Lent with the praying of the Stations of the Cross during Holy Week. Again this year, our eighth grade class, under the guidance of Mr. Donodeo, led us in this solemn reflection on the passion and death of our Lord. Family, friends and benefactors joined us as we reflected on the greatness of God's love for each of us.

Please keep in your prayers the three young men, Walther G., Aiden J. and Kevin S. who received the Sacrament of Baptism at Our Holy Redeemer Church and began a new faith journey on April 28th. Congratulations Gentlemen! These fine young men will be joined by Karim F., Anthony P. and Steven R. receiving their First Holy Communion on Friday, May 10th at the 12:10 parish Mass. Please join us in welcoming these students and their families to the church!

The opportunity for our students to serve at the altar is a great blessing for them and our school community. The current class of altar servers being prepared at the parish of Our Holy Redeemer include Carl A., Jason C., Anthony G., Walther G., Jayden G., Aiden J., Stanley P., Anthony P., Carlos R., Steven R. and Coby V. Many thanks to Father Alessandro for his guidance preparing these young men for their wonderful service to the Church.

The De La Salle School will honor Susan Santoro Bevilacqua at the school's Seventeenth Annual Spring Gala on Friday, 17 May 2019. This year's gathering, whose theme is "Rainbow of Hope", will take place at The Sands Atlantic Beach located in Atlantic Beach, NY. The Gala begins at 7:00 PM and concludes at 11:30 PM. The evening includes a fabulous array of auction items along with dinner and dancing. Proceeds benefit the school's Scholarship Fund. For further information please contact William Gault at 516- 379-8660 or via email at [email protected] .

It truly is a time of joy and celebration for the De La Salle community!
