 Welcome Aboard!

This morning we hosted our annual New Student Interview Day, a wonderful event when we open our doors to our newest MFCS students and families. One by one, members of our 2019/20 Kindergarten class and other students who will be joining us next year, met with members of our staff while their parents got to know one another and speak with MFCS Parent Ambassadors. This annual event is the first step in the process of preparing for next year. A HUGE thanks to MFCS Parents, Amanda G., Jody W. and Timothy B., for spending time with our new families and helping give them a very warm welcome.

Speaking of next year... on Monday, families of our current Kinders and 3rd graders received a letter from Ms. Laura W along with our Parent Input Form. The form is due back at school by Tuesday, May 7th. Please click here to download the letter and form. We thank you in advance for your valuable input.

Next week is...  MFCS' Staff Appreciation  Week!  In preparation, our 2018/19 Room Parents along with a few other Parent Volunteers have designed an amazing series of happenings to thank everyone in our building.

There are a few ways you can help make the week a great success filled with gratitude and smiles. In addition to volunteers and item donations, the Team is asking for a $2 donation from each child to cover the costs of the week's events.   Please click here for more information about how you can lend a hand!

Next week is also one of our best annual events... The Living Wax Museum,  Thursday, May 9th from 3:15-4pm. Please see below for details!

Over break, a small group of staff met to kick off some outdoor improvements. Though the weather was not conducive to a full-fledged beautification, we were able to paint some new games on the sidewalk and add in lines near our basketball hoop.

We are still hoping to fill the planters with some annual flowers, and look forward to planting the seedlings that students started on Earth Day, before April Vacation. Thanks to Ms. Sherry's careful watch over vacation, many of them are growing fast. Is there anyone who can help bring some spring color to our outdoors? Please contact Meryl or Jen by email. Thank you!!

Sasha and Natalia Homes as well as Arabella Mariano are part of our team.

This year their team is the only team from New Hampshire selected to participate in the 3-day international competition at LEGOLAND in Carlsbad, California. They are very excited to meet and compete against teams from all over the world.  There will be teams from Japan, India, Korea, Ghana, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Zimbabwe, and others. And of course they are thrilled to to represent New Hampshire at this amazing event!
