Plannning Ahead
  • Natick Preschool still has a few openings for next school year.  Please call April Davenport at 508-647-6583 for more information. 
  • Special Olympics - June 4, 9-11:30am at Natick High School for ALL preschool students even if your child does not typically attend at this time or location. Rain date June 5.  More information to follow.
SPECIAL OLYMPICS LOGISTICS:
Special Olympics will take place on Tuesday, June 4
(rain date, June 5)
*All Preschool students are invited to participate in the Special Olympics!  Please see below for specifics:
There will be no Wednesday morning or afternoon preschool (Murphy) and no Tuesday afternoon preschool (Terry & Barry) for this week only.
  • Full day classes follow their regular schedule.
  • Mrs. Barry's AM and PM students attend school in the AM (9-11:30am) on the day of Special Olympics.
  • Mrs. Terry's AM and PM students attend school in the AM (9-11:30am) on the day of Special Olympics.
  • Mrs. Murphy's AM and PM classes attend school in the AM (9-11:30am) on the day of Special Olympics in place of attending on the next day.
  • Mrs. Earner's and Mrs. Price's students should be dropped off at the Preschool at Natick High School on the day of Special Olympics.
  • Parents are asked to transport students to school if the Special Olympics morning is not a typical day/time for your child to attend Preschool.
  • Per Special Olympics safety guidelines, parents will view the event from outside the events perimeter.  Only student athletes and school personnel are allowed on the field.
  • Parents can park in the lots adjacent and across the street from the football field after following regular Preschool drop-off procedures.  THANK YOU FOR ARRIVING ON TIME SO WE CAN GET OUR LITTLE ATHLETES READY!
  • Opening Ceremonies will start promptly at 9:15 am with track and field events starting immediately afterwards. This is a PreK - grade 12 event, there will be lots to see.  
  • Please remember to apply sunblock and dress your child in weather appropriate clothing including the designated class color t-shirt and sneakers!  
  • Dismissal will follow regular procedures at the school.  Thank you for allowing us to walk back as a "team." The children will have a brief cool down time in the classroom to celebrate their participation and then will be dismissed to parents waiting outside as usual.

Dear Parents and Guardians:
The Project Play researchers at Northeastern University need your help! Project Play's goal is to create a measure that can be used to evaluate progress in play for children who are developing with delays. The results will be used to set instructional goals for these children, because of the importance of play in development. The project's success depends upon the participating families. We ask for your help in recruiting this final group of children, whose play activities would contribute critical information to our project.

We still need to recruit approximately 12 preschoolers:
  • Whom receive services through an IEP; and who are turning 3 ½, 4, and 4 ½ years old
What will happen?
  • We ask that a parent/caregiver play with his/her child for 30 minutes at home while we provide toys and videotape the playtime
  • We administer a brief screening test to the child
  • We also ask about family background and about the child's overall development
What will you receive?
  • An educational toy for your child, a $100 gift card, and brief report of your child's play

The Town of Natick Community Services Department has launched
Natick Information Line,
a project designed to help residents find the resources they need.

Helping find the information you need like: Financial assistance, transportation, childcare, veterans' services, after-school activities, legal services, access to health care, crisis intervention, food/clothing/shelter, counseling, support groups and elder services.

Available Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. - noon.
