LAW AND PUBLIC SAFETY
Sheriff Introduces AngelSense Tracking Program
Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik has announced the launch of a new and innovative tracking device for persons with special needs.

AngelSense uses GPS Tracking Technology to help locate and monitor a loved one’s location 24/7, receive instant lifesaving alerts, and even status updates of their arrival and departure to frequently visited locations. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office is the first law enforcement office on the East Coast to implement AngelSense.

"As Sheriff, I want to help you keep your loved ones safe. Our department has teamed up with AngelSense, a leader in GPS tracking for special needs," said Sheriff Berdnik. "With their help we will give families security, knowing they will have access to their family member’s location and welfare at all times."
This device offers more than simple tracking. AngelSense is equipped with features like "Unknown Place Alerts", which notify you if your loved one is in an unfamiliar and potentially dangerous place. The "Alarm" feature allows you to activate an alarm on the device to find your loved one in a crowd or when hiding. AngelSense also offers "1- and 2-Way Voice", allowing you to check in with your loved one instantly, no picking up or clicking any buttons.

AngelSense can be attached to clothes discreetly and securely by using a magnetic tool and fasteners. The AngelSense device is connected to a real-time smartphone app and on the web, so you can instantly see the device’s location anytime. AngelSense is available to individuals residing in Passaic County at no cost.

Visit the Passaic County Sheriff's website to apply for this program. For more information, contact the Community Policing Division at (973) 389-5920.
