We're all holding on...
Right now, it seems like things are crazier every day. There is so much information, and so many numbers floating through cyberspace, it's overwhelming - every single day. Please remember that in this time of stress, we all need to take a break when we can. For some, it's easier than others. Lots of us are staying safe at home, but that doesn't mean we can't take a walk or run, binge the online 'networks', or (the best choice for quilters) sit down and sew. For essential employees, things are more difficult, but we hope that you, too, take some down time for yourself, even if you're isolated due to your job. Grab a book, plan a quilt, write a story, or phone a friend. We all need to take care of ourselves so we may take care of our families and our futures.

Things have changed for Yankee Pride, too. Since we are not an essential business, the shop remains closed until Governor Scott deems it safe to reopen. We are allowed, however, to keep our online business going. In that spirit, we thank those of you who have shopped online with us already, whether it's gift certificates or fabric. You, our customers, are keeping us going, and we appreciate it more than you know. Marti and Cindy stop in a few times a week, for a few hours, to process orders and get them mailed out. If you choose Store Pickup when you place an order, we will call or email you when your order is ready, to set a time for pickup.

You can still contact us at [email protected] with questions, or call the shop at 802/872-9300 and leave a voicemail message. We will return your call when we come in to the shop. Visit us at yankeepridequilts.com for your online shopping, or for a color tour if you need a quick pick-me-up. We've got more than 1,500 bolts of fabric on the website, every one beautiful to look at (at this point, even the uglies are looking good!).

Your Yankee Pride staff remains safe and healthy, and we sincerely hope all of our customers are healthy, too. Lean on each other (by phone, Zoom, or email only!), and we'll get through this crisis. Take care.

Spring 2020 Class Schedule

At the moment, all Yankee Pride classes are on hold. If you've signed up and paid for an upcoming class, we will be issuing a store credit in your name. When the shop reopens and classes are rescheduled, you can let us know if you're still interested in attending. We'll have more specific information when the coast is clear and we reopen.

Mystery Quilt Spring 2020

The Spring 2020 Mystery Quilt is still going on - Cindy is sending the instructions via email on the Saturdays we were scheduled to meet. The instructions for Class 5 just went out, and Class 6, coming in two weeks, will arrive in the same way. If you have any questions or concerns about the Mystery, or if you have not received your instructions, please email Cindy at [email protected]

Recent Fabric Arrivals

These are the highlights of recent arrivals. Click on the photo for a closeup, and click here if you're interested in purchasing any of these fabrics by the yard on our website:

Equinox

from Flora Bowley

by P&B Textiles

The stunning colors and abstract design of these fabrics made us "ooh" as soon as we opened the box. More than one staff member has added these to their stash. The top and bottom prints are wonderful for borders, and that stripe is just perfect for binding. A gorgeous group to chase away the gray, dreary days.

Impressions of Tuscany 2

and Serenity Lake

from Artisan Batiks

by Robert Kaufman

The last fabrics to arrive before everything closed down, these batiks are bright, pretty, and quite versatile. Use them in both traditional and landscape quilts, in bags and wallets, and as clothing.

Fracture

from Teresa Ascone

by P&B Textiles

Bright and vibrant tone-on-tones, this group arrived with "Equinox" (above).  And while they certainly complement that line, they also work wherever you need a shot of color, whether in a juvenile quilt, a clothing or bag accent, or a traditional quilt. They play well with everyone!

Thank you, as always, for your business, and thank you for being our customer. We love that you still believe in shopping local!
