LEGAL CLINIC IS A VALUABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR MHAS VOLUNTEER-CLERK
Ben
- BA, University of Southern California, 2015
Ben has been volunteering with MHAS for six months. He describes his volunteer experience as a "huge learning opportunity" that has given him a "good idea of what it's like to work in the field." In addition to working on a comprehensive research project regarding youth transitioning out of the child welfare system, Ben has been volunteering at our monthly legal clinic.

As a future law student attracted to public interest law, Ben enjoys interacting directly with clients as he works alongside MHAS attorneys and pro bono attorneys from the private sector.
Each month, we will send a Fair Housing Tip of the Month email with practical information about the fair housing rights of people with disabilities. Topics will include: prohibited forms of discrimination; reasonable accommodation; emotional support animals; and evictions.
