Sunday Breakfast
Breakfast this coming Sunday, May 5, will be provided by guest chef, Priscilla Bond.

We will continue our class on early church history led by Dr. Dave Kirchinger.

Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship.

Unclaimed Lilies
There are a dozen lilies in Board Hall. Please take what you like.

Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease
In cooperation with the Alzheimer's Association is
pleased to announce a presentation on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:30PM in Board Hall at St. Luke's, 1206 Maple Lane, Anchorage.

This presentation will deal with Understanding Dementia and Alzheimer's, focusing on the latest research on these diseases. Too, you will be able to offer your questions on signs and symptoms, the roll of caregivers, and other such questions as you may have.

This presentation is free and open to all, so feel free to invite your friends and neighbors. Refreshments will be available.

Please assist us by calling the Church at (502) 245-8827 and letting us know you are coming and how many will be in your party. This will help us plan appropriate seating for the anticipated attendance.

This event is co-sponsored by the Brotherhood of St. Andrew (BOSA) and the Daughters of the King (DOK), the men and women of St. Luke's.

Diaper and Wipes Drive
In honor of Mother's Day the DOK is sponsoring a parish wide diaper and wipes collection to benefit the mother's serviced by Eastern Area Community Ministries (EACM).

Significant budget cuts have adversely affected EACM. Diapers and wipes are desperately needed as these items cannot be purchased with food stamps. Sizes most needed are size 4, 5, and 6. Wipes are also needed.

Please leave your donations in Board Hall. Collection will continue from now until Mothers Day on May 12th.

Your support is greatly appreciated! For questions contact Patti LaMontagne (502) 338-2472.

Spring Foyer Groups Sign-Up
Foyer Groups are groups of 6-8 (could be more) people that meet for a meal (at someone's home or at a restaurant). Every person (or couple) takes a turn arranging a meeting.  After the Spring meetings, new groups will begin in the Winter.

Besides having fun and getting to know each other, Foyer Groups offer an excellent opportunity to discuss where our church is now, where it is going and how we feel.   Of course, the groups have no assigned topics and people may just want to let the conversations ramble and flow, laugh and have a good time.

Sign-ups will go through May, with sign up sheets at both narthex entrances.

Call Calvin Riley Pinney: 245 1623 or Caroline Eddleman: 253-0135 for information or questions.

Wednesday Walks on the Anchorage Trail
Join us at the Anchorage Trail each Wednesday (weather permitting) at 8:30 AM for an invigorating walk along the trail that leads us thru a wildflower meadow where you might see deer, colorful birds, turtles, and other species of both animals and plants.

After our walk, we can attend Wednesday Bible Study at St. Luke's to hear Fr. Michael lead us in the word of God. Looking forward to being "on the trail again."

HomeLife Event Calendar
I am happy to compile events going on in the lives of our parishioners that they would like for other parishioners to support/attend, such as musical recitals, sporting events, business openings, craft shows, horse shows, etc.

For example, if I had a booth at the Cherokee Art Festival and wanted everyone to support me, that could be something we could add to the weekly email, bulletin and/or website. Hope this explains what I am trying to do.

People can send their events to me at [email protected] and I can get them to you. Thanks! Shaun McEntire.
