From President Frank H. Wu and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Elizabeth Hendrey:
We hope you are safe and well after last night’s storm. Unfortunately Queens and many surrounding areas were hit hard, and there have been many reports of flooding.

Please be reminded that there are no classes scheduled from Friday, September 3 through Wednesday, September 8, and the college is closed on Monday, September 6 for Labor Day. Staff should continue to work remotely on Friday, September 3 and resume their usual work schedules beginning on Tuesday, September 7.

The library will be open on Friday, September 3, Tuesday, September 7, and Wednesday, September 8 by reservation, and student services will be offered remotely, as scheduled.

Buildings & Grounds and Public Safety continue to work diligently on affected campus spaces. We thank them for their dedication. The campus is currently open to essential personnel, as well as research lab personnel. Employees who have facilities-related issues should contact their supervisor or Buildings & Grounds for an inspection.

When you return to campus, please promptly report any issues or concerns to Buildings & Grounds by calling 718-997-3520 or emailing bngweb@qc.cuny.edu

As always, please continue to monitor your emails and visit the QC homepage for updates. Thank you for your cooperation.
