Making God's Will Our Own
As it has always been, today it is extremely important to seek and do the will of God at every moment. In this age of computers, high technology, work, and so much more to do, God is not asking us for great penances, long prayer vigils, much fasting… God is asking us to do God’s will in a perfect way. US Province Chapter
The XVI Provincial Chapter will take place September 5 - 10 at the Miramar Retreat Center in Duxbury, MA. The Xaverian Missionaries are marking their 75th anniversary of mission and ministry in the United States in 2022. Stay tuned for updates and coverage of this significant celebration.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Diocese of Paterson postponed its annual liturgical acknowledgement of priests’ jubilee anniversaries until this year. Fr. Michael Davitti SX, Rector of the Provincial House, celebrated the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood last year. On June 1, 2021 the Paterson Diocese held a special Mass and dinner for jubilarians from last year and this year with Bishop Kevin J. Sweeney at Corpus Christi Parish, Chatham, NJ. Fr. Father Michael's Friday Bible Study Class at the Provincial House Bible Class is increasing! He states he has "never seen so much enthusism. The video reflects on the “three fundamental components of Xaverian Spirituality” (three coefficients). They represent the genetic code (DNA) of Xaverian identity. In fact, these three components “will have to distinguish” the present and future members of the Congregation. Here, we find the “summary” and inspiring principle of a Xaverian's heart and mind. “To see God, seek God, love God in all things” for Mons. Conforti is bound to the growing desire for the expansion “of his Kingdom”, “everywhere”, among non-Christians. This very simple criterion becomes a commitment lived and offered ("immolation") "for the realization of Christ's desire, hoping for the formation of a single Christian family, which has to embrace all of humanity." |

The Testament Letter: a message for married couples too
Aimé Bisimwa and Laurentia Nakinja are married and have three children. This couple belongs to the group of Lay Xaverians of Bukavu, D.R. Congo.
"Just like a “good family man," St. Guido Maria Conforti wrote for the great Xaverian family a testament so that his sons and daughters might have a good life. That Letter expresses his last wishes about his “present and future” family, a family which is now spread across the world. One cannot deny that when St. Guido Maria Conforti was writing his testament, he was simply thinking of his own confreres; however, that testament is not only relevant to religious, but also to us dads and moms.." News From the General Direction
- A new Xaverian from Indonesia will be be assigned to the USA, Fr. Mardadus Hery SX.
- Deacon Irvin Guitierrez SX from Mexico will be studying English in the US on his way to Japan.
- Fr. Yohannes Dharmawan Adharius SX, or "Wawan," has completed his studies and will return to Taiwan and China in August.
- Brother Diego Acosta SX will continue studies in Franklin in view of theology studies for Taiwan.

Masks and social distancing are no loner required in the Shrine for VACCINATED PEOPLE according to the State of Massachusetts. THE STATE DOES ADVISE THAT NON-VACCINATED PEOPLE CONTINUE TO WEAR MASKS.
Registration is NO LONGER REQUIRED for Mass. Space will be provided for those who who feel the need to wear a mask and social distance .

For many Christians, August is a time to remember the Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus in special ways. Her Assumption into heaven is celebrated on August 15. Here, the Coptic Christian Choir, United in Christ, sing of Mary in her well known title in orthodox Christianity, "Theotokos." which is Greek for Mary the God Bearer. This beautiful rendition was performed at Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, Holliston. |

The Metrowest Interfaith Dialogue Project is collaborating with The Jewish Family Services and Open Spirit Interfaith Center to offer Active Bystander's Training to faith communities and other organizations and individuals. Using the Quabbin Mediation Model, the Training Active Bystanders (TAB) program helps participants recognize when they are bystanders, analyze situations, and evaluate the consequences for everyone involved. TAB heightens bystanders’ power. It teaches how bystanders can interrupt harm-doing and generate positive actions by others. Active bystandership does not mean aggression against the harm doer. My experience as a Xaverian Brother and future nurse
As a Xaverian brother who is studying as a student nurse, I believed that many of us may have numerous questions regarding missionary nursing which may include the charism and spirituality of the Xaverians. What is the connection between being a Xaverian brother and a nurse?
