Coming soon to Downtown! Brothers Scott and Jacob Meacham, along with their mother Vickie Herring and her sister Tammy (Herring) Grove, recently purchased the Queen’s Attic building in downtown Alex City. The 6,000 square foot building was meticulously rebuilt by Dr. Larry Tuggle following a devastating fire in the early 2000s, and has since become known as one of the most unique buildings in the area with character and charm that has visitors feeling as if they’ve been placed in the middle of New Orleans’ French Quarter. Plans are currently underway for an exterior façade renovation, upgrading the kitchen space to make way for a breakfast and lunch café, and marketing the downstairs space for a mixture of retail shops. The upstairs of the building also contains offices ideal for artists, craftspeople, professionals or service-based businesses. The Square will also be available for special event rental on nights and weekends.
