The focus of this workshop is to provide space for exploration of gender and art through drag. Piranha will guide us through the cathartic experience of creating wearable art, makeup looks, and more! We also encourage workshop attendees to bring any makeup, costumes, or other supplies they already have and would like to work with. Free makeup pallets, art and other designing supplies will be available for use during the workshop. For those seeking additional time to work, we will have access to the space until 5PM. The TNBQ+ Poetry Project was created by Tucson's Poet Laureate, TC Tolbert, with support from the Academy of American Poets. This project aims to promote solidarity and raise awareness about the continuing oppression faced by individuals within the TNBQ+ community. Workshops are open to LGBTQ+ participants of all ages and can be adapted to fit all writing levels.

Call for Applicants: Asst./Assoc. Professor of Mexican American Studies
The University of Texas at San Antonio's Department of Race, Ethnicity, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (REGSS) seeks applicants for an assistant or associate professor to begin in Fall 2020. Applicants who have disciplinary training or experience working with research methodologies and approaches in Chicana/o/x, Latina/o/x, and Mexican American Studies, and whose teaching experience intersects with race, ethnicity, women's, gender, and sexuality studies are encouraged to apply. Call for Papers: Bodies of Knowledge // Re-envisioning Transgender Experience
Submission Deadline: Dec. 1, 2019
Conference: April 9th-10th, 2020
University of South Carolina Upstate
Bodies of Knowledge is a biennial LGBTQ-themed event that aims to change the conversation about LGBTQ experience in the Upstate and beyond. This year's event will focus on the politics, culture, and health issues surrounding the transgender community. Proposals for individual conference papers, panels with 3-5 conference papers, informal roundtable panels, creative presentations (e.g., poetry, spoken word, creative nonfiction, photography exhibits, other art installations), and tabling by community organizations are invited. We welcome participation from undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and community organizers. Proposals may address topics raised by the keynoters---trans community organizing, Black transgender feminism, trans childhoods, trans theorizing about gender-markers on legal documents-or may respond more broadly to the theme of reenvisioning transgender lives, cultures, politics, media visibility, and more.
