An academic bilingual community fostering global citizenship
Dear Park Spanish Immersion School Community,

It's been a fun week at our school! Our 101 student dancers through our PTO-sponsored  Baile Folklórico  program, amazed our student body on Thursday, and they did a dynamite job in the High School Auditorium on Friday night. Congratulations to all participants and the many student mentors and adults who helped support them! See below for links to photos from the school assembly performance, as well as videos (recorded by ParkTV), from the evening performance!

As a reminder, tomorrow (May 17) is an early release day. PSI dismissal is at 12:55 pm. Our teachers will be reviewing our School Improvement Plan, student progress, and we will continue making plans for next year. We will also be looking at our draft document of "reading at home" which families will hear more about in the fall.

Yesterday, we enjoyed the spring Band and Orchestra concert here at school, showcasing our talented fourth and fifth grade musicians. Click HERE for a few photos and short video clips from the concert yesterday! I am looking forward to our fourth and fifth grade vocal concert in the High School Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. next Thursday, May 23rd. See below for more details and information about this event.

Work continues on our new building, and the second floor classrooms are really taking shape!  Click HERE for a few construction photo updates!

We hope to see you this Monday, May 20th for the PSI at Central - A Farewell Open House from 5:30 - 7:00 pm, with a special program at 6:00 pm! See below for some other great events, opportunities and announcements.

Have a great week, and keep reading!

Math & Science Connection-INTERMEDIATE Edition
Since math is orderly, children can solve the same problem using different strategies— and still come up with the right answer. Children will see that math and science are integrated – and are part of their daily lives.

Please consider hosting an Amity Intern next fall semester. This is a unique and wonderful chance to welcome an Amity into your family and a great way to give back to the PSI community!
