Children, Youth and Families
I hope this newsletter finds you well. As a parent, establishing the new normal has been difficult as the pandemic changes in the World, our nation and our community of St. Simons Island. I am grateful for the many blessings we have been given, and I pray for those less fortunate than us. I find myself praying daily for patience as I learn new things about my child, gain insight on what her world looks like and attempt to meet her needs.

I wanted to pass along a resource that has been particularly useful to me, parenting in these uncertain times. The SAIS (Serving and Accrediting Independent Schools) hosted a webinar with Child Psychologists: Rob Evan and Michael Thompson. SAIS recorded the webinar and I have linked it below. It covers a lot of ground for Parenting in a Time of Crisis. I hope you will check it out.

I have included each Psychologist's website for a deeper look in their excellence in these areas

Kidurgy
As we remain under social distancing- we still want to provide an opportunity for our children to engage with the Word.

In addition to the usual flow of our Kidurgy Service, since Easter Sunday we have added a short message following the Gospel story.

In addition to our Facebook posting of the Kidurgy service- we will send an email including our Youtube post as well.

As part of our service being more engaging we have added a Prayers of the People worksheet. Included is a link to a video for how to color it in. We would love to have your child's illustrations included in our prayer time during Sunday Kidurgy video.

Wanted to invite you an opportunity to share with each other how you have been coping through these last several weeks. We will begin with prayer and a topic to check in on. It will be casual and we are hoping for it to be more engaging than lecture. So grab your favorite beverage- let the kids play and let's support one another in this time.
