Two Different Surveys are Being Conducted on COVID-19 Impacts

1)     The Ohio Chamber Research Foundation is conducting its latest quarterly economic survey of business leaders in Ohio, called the  PROSPERITY PULSE.  They would love to share this survey with our members so they can show how business leaders are feeling and responding to this crisis.

Please follow this survey link to participate and share your story:  Here is the link to the survey

2)     The OHIO 2020 Economic Recovery Task Force is seeking small businesses from across Ohio who would be willing to share their story with the task force in virtual testimony. If you have a business and would like to share your story with the Task Force, you can email to Ohio2020@ohiohouse.gov with the following information:
  • Name and location of the business
  • Number of employees
  • Years in business
  • Contact information for business owners (email, phone number)
  • Brief description of nature of the business

In the interest of time, we will review all submissions, with the goal of inviting a diverse range of businesses from different industries and regions of the state to testify virtually before the task force. Businesses may also submit written feedback to the task force. In either case, we are asking that businesses that want to share their experiences prepare brief remarks that focus on the following points:
  • If/how they are able to operate during the coronavirus?
  • What kind of financial strains have been brought on by this? If they have been in business for many years, how has this been compared to other financial downturns?
  • What kinds of obstacles do they see ahead of them once they are able to fully open up again?
  • Any governmental roadblocks ahead that the legislature should be aware of?
  • Any ideas that they might have on protocols they believe would be helpful to return to work while maintaining a level of safety to provide confidence to their customers?

The Colerain Chamber of Commerce Golf League will begin May 6, as planned. If you have an interest in participating, there are still a few spots open. For more details or to sign up, please go to the registration page here or contact Dave Moravec at president@colerainchamber.org

Another reminder: If you are interested in being involved in a Young Professionals program locally or if you are interested in Sales Professional Development (Sales Summit), we will be hosting informational meetings in early May. YP groups are formed to provide networking, philanthropy and professional development for the 20 to 40 year-old demographic and are vital to the succession of businesses across the community. The concept of a Sales Summit grew out of an idea that sales professionals need to have iron sharpening, iron connections. We will begin meeting on a regular basis in June but gathering momentum over the next several weeks by networking locally. For more information on either program, please contact Dave Moravec directly at president@colerainchamber.org or by calling 309-838-1947.
