A Message from Mayor Susan Shin Angulo
Dear Residents:

To help combat the outbreak of COVID-19 within long term care facilities in Cherry Hill, critical personal protection equipment (PPE) is being delivered to Cherry Hill facilities. Our first responders are working with the Camden County Office of Emergency Management to help direct approximately 25,000 pieces of assorted PPE to facilities in need. This protective equipment is critical to protect staff and residents working and living in our Cherry Hill facilities from this deadly virus.

Additionally, the Camden County Department of Health is conducting random inspections of long term care facilities to ensure patient safety. Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in reported coronavirus infections at these locations. Residents can report concerns about any long term care facility to the county’s COVID Hotline at 1-800-999-9045. Our friends, family members, and neighbors living in long term care facilities represent some of the most vulnerable to coronavirus infection. Safety is paramount during these unprecedented times. Supplying facilities with necessary PPE, and ensuring quality of care guidelines and precautions are followed will save lives and flatten the curve.

My top priority continues to be the health, safety, and protection of our residents. I along with my administration continue to be in contact with officials from the County and State to help communicate the best practices to keep our community and residents safe. We will continue to work diligently to help fulfill the needs of our citizens.

As we continue to run Town Hall as affectively and effectively as possible - information on how to conduct Town Hall business, closures throughout town, FAQs, helpful links and resources, and additional information can be found on our  website . This situation continues to evolve, so please monitor our website and   social media  sites for up-to-date information. The latest on New Jersey’s response to COVID can be found on the  State’s COVID-19 Information Hub .  And although Town Hall is closed to the public, we are here for you, twenty-four seven. Please reach out if you have questions. You can send me an  email  or reach out by phone (856) 488-7878. We are doing our best to provide as much information as possible.

Finally, I’d like to extend a Happy Ramadan to everyone celebrating this joyous occasion. Now more than ever we are realizing the importance of family and community, and although social distancing keeps us physically apart, we are together in spirit (and in Zoom).

Please stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,
Susan Shin Angulo
Mayor
