As promised the Chamber wants to keep you as informed as possible during this unprecedented and incredibly ever-evolving COVID-19 situation. We realize you, like all of us, are concerned, anxious, and wondering where all this will go.

However, we'll be here for you to help guide you through these murky waters. There are resources...and we are one.

We'll remind you to help your neighbors. We will will say that each of us needs to look out for one another more than ever before...so take care of that elderly couple down the block and make sure they have what they need, call your kids or your parents to talk, and be kind to the people that are working so hard to get us through all of this. 

And more than ever take care of our LOCAL ESCONDIDO BUSINESSES!

They are open. Call ahead. Place an order, and not just for food...for fencing, metal piping, roofing materials, landscaping (it is almost Spring), auto motive repair, computer upgrades, and of course tax preparations.

TODAY: SBA Disaster Loan Webinar

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is offering  low-interest federal disaster loans    for working capital to California small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
 
In coordination with the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Disaster Assistance, Cal OES will be holding a call TODAY, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 4:00 PM to explain the SBA disaster loan application process and answer questions from small business support organizations.
 
The call will cover:
  • What the program is
  • How it works and how to apply
  • Common missteps or misunderstandings that impact business owner applicants

Price Gouging Is A Crime!

As the state of California and San Diego County continue to respond to the ongoing threat posed by
COVID-19, the San Diego County District Attorney's Office issued a warning today to businesses and
scammers not to take advantage of consumers by price gouging. During a declared state of emergency,
it is illegal for a business to increase its prices for essential goods or services by more than 10 percent,
unless they can show their own costs have been increased. Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state
of emergency in California on March 4 and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors extended its
countywide state of emergency for an additional 30 days on February 19.
