The First Lady attended the "BRAVE in the Attempt" Talks.
The First Lady, Yumi Hogan, was instrumental in brokering a deal between Maryland and the South Korean company LabGenomics that will expand Maryland's testing capacity by 500,000 tests. Testing is a key component of the Governor's
"Roadmap to Recovery" reopening plan.

The First Lady chairs the Children's Mental Health Awareness Week campaign, attends the "BRAVE in the Attempt" Talks and is always available to honor individuals and organizations making a difference in Maryland. Her genuine spirit puts everyone at ease, and she is a wonderful ambassador for the state.

Face Coverings in Maryland
Governor Hogan announced an executive order which requires the wearing of face coverings when inside any retail establishments or when riding any form of public transportation in Maryland. The order also requires all retail locations to require staff to wear face coverings and requires those businesses to put appropriate social distancing measures in place. The CDC has issued detailed guidance and instructions regarding homemade cloth face coverings which can be found at coronavirus.maryland.gov.
The CDC recommends (as listed above):
to make sure you can breathe through the mask
wear it whenever you go out in public
covers your nose and mouth
wash after using
CDC says do not use masks for:
children under the age of two
people who have trouble breathing
people who are unconscious
people who would have difficulty removing mask without assistance
There have been many questions about accommodations for people with disabilities and face coverings. This question is addressed in the Maryland Department of Health's Frequently Asked Questions. Accommodations for face coverings are allowable under the order.
