Best Practices for Using MCG Tool to Enter Clinical Criteria Attention behavioral health providers! You can access free text fields in MCG through Qualitrac by clicking on the small, blue notepad icon. These fields have a limited amount of space to enter data. Therefore, instead of entering actual clinical data into these fields, simply document where in the clinical record the data is located . For example: AEB clinical progress noted date 1/24/20, p. 3 of document titled "Progress Notes." This saves time and space! And the reviewer can easily access the information from the clinical record attached to the case to validate the information, thereby potentially avoiding a request for information (RFI) task and speeding up the outcome.
