Daily Devotional Podcast

You may join me for a part of my own daily devotionals by sharing in the podcast below.  It runs about 16 or so minutes.

Daily Update

The restrictions on public gatherings in Illinois will be continuing through the month of May, as announced by the governor yesterday.  That means it will be June, at the earliest, before our church services get back to normal. It's kind of like when the groundhog sees his shadow and we have six more weeks...of video services!

Prayers are requested for Julie Smith, the daughter of Gennell Hankins, who is suffering with some temporary health problems.

In the weekend update tomorrow, you will receive links for Sunday's worship services:  traditional and contemporary.  We will also have a link for Kid's Time with Tammy.  And there will be an audio link for a "Through the Bible" presentation of the book of Hebrews.
Life Goes On

Today, April 24 is a relatively light day, after having so many things to remember and observe yesterday.  It is "Hairball Awareness Day," so that means we will be brushing Earl-the-Cat later.

It is also "Teach Your Children to Save" day.  It is always good to save up for a rainy day...or for a quarantine.

It is firefly day, but I haven't seen any yet, so I'll hold off. Besides, I've always called them lightning bugs.  But I am looking forward to their return.

And, it is "Pigs in a Blanket" day...in case you are wondering what to have for supper tonight.
