After years of not having an active disaster assistance team, Trinity Presbytery now has a team coming together, under the leadership of Laura Jordan, a member and elder of our Cherokee congregation. Laura is working hard to get Trinity Disaster Assistance Team (TDAT) up and running.
The importance of having a disaster assistance team (and plan) in our presbytery cannot be stressed enough.
The team needs your input
as they assess needs and make plans for moving forward.
Please!
Take a moment to respond to the questions in this short survey.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Lexington County Workcamp 2021 - A HUGE Success!
|
|
The Lexington County Workcamp 2021, co-sponsored by Cherokee Presbyterian Church of Gilbert and Group Mission Trips was a huge success according to Rev. Liz Cely, Pastor of Children and Youth at our Cherokee Church.
On June 20th, 224 campers, from 14 churches, in 11 states, gathered in Lexington County to begin this week-long workcamp. They were housed at Gunter Camp and Conference Center in Leesville, SC. For their service work the volunteers were separated into 42 crews, and combined, they repaired 33 homes of the homeowners whose applications were accepted (out of 145 applicants!) to receive the home repairs. The week of camp netted 6,720 service hours. Many other hours went into planning and post-event work that needed to happen.
Thank you to all who served, prayed, and supported this mission in so many ways!

Louise Carter, Financial Administrator for Trinity Presbytery, has retired (June 30th), after 25 years of faithful, professional and dedicated service. Many of you have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Louise throughout the years. Though it is not possible to list her many accomplishments, Louise’s attention to detail has always been one of the hallmarks of her service. Her expertise and knowledge of, not only financial and business matters, but the work and ministry of the Presbytery, its related institutions and the Presbyterian Church (USA) have been noted by many. We have been blessed to serve alongside Louise on the staff of Trinity Presbytery. Please join us in praying for God’s continued blessings for Louise and her husband Ken as they begin this new phase of their lives.
