As you must know, Governor DeWine announced recently that schools will not return to in-person classes this school year.  We are so very sad that we won't be together as a group again.  We will continue to provide lessons and meet through our Google Classroom.  Hopefully there will be a time this summer when we can have a fun play day at a park!

Learning packets & personal item pick up

Teachers are currently in the process of packing up student personal items from the classrooms.  They are also preparing another round of packets for students to work on during the month of May.  Please plan on picking items up in the school large parking lot May 7th & 8th.  Please remain in your cars and proceed into the lot like a typical pickup routine.  Form a line and a teacher will bring items to you.  Many teachers will be present to wave, throw kisses and give air hugs (from a distance).  Please put your student name sign in the car window so we can quickly identify what to bring to each car.

May 7th- 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM  Last names A-M
May 8th- 6:00 PM- 7:00 PM  Last names N-Z
During this unprecedented time, please be kind to yourselves!  We post lessons each day but do not feel as though you need to complete all of these.  All children are in the same boat and will be facing the same thing in the fall.  Please just hug and enjoy your beautiful children. Children can't easily learn until they feel safe, secure, loved and comforted. Truly for all of us, that is the most important thing right now.  Try not to be overwhelmed with what we post and just view it as a resource and remember you are doing great!

Please give us your feedback on the summer program, fall distance learning & spring distance learning times.  Only 4 questions!!! Your help is appreciated!

Congratulations to Jenna!!! She has a new baby brother named Anthony!

Enrollment for K
If you were interested in applying for Ed Choice, the window is open.  You must be in contact with your school of choice to complete this process.  The link below will give you more information about the program.

If you have not registered for next year, please do so immediately.  We currently have 1 of seven classes which has closed and another which is close to closing.  If you are on the fence about enrolling for another year or sending your child to Kindergarten please know that your child's teacher can help to make that decision.  K is much easier once the student has a solid ability to focus, take care of own basic needs and separates from loved ones easily.  With the quick pace of K, having a good knowledge of all letter names (out of order), letter sounds, number names (1-20), counting to at least 30 and an understanding of 1:1 correspondence will make K less stressful for your child.  We are here to help with any decision you make!  If you are interested in enrolling for next year there are editable PDF's on our website that can be completed and emailed back to me.

Lessons will be listed in the Google Classroom

Some lessons will contain a link to a prerecorded video.  Some lessons will contain a link for an upcoming live lesson.  These live lessons will not be recorded as not everyone is comfortable with their child being recorded. In order to get to the google classroom, contact your child's teacher and she will invite you via email. Our school classroom must have a privacy setting only allowing GMail accounts to access material so if you do not have a gmail, please set one up.  If there is a parent out the who is proficient in Google Classrooms that knows another way to access material without a gmail account, please contact me. Until then, the easiest way is to set up a free gmail account and send your email to your child's teacher.
Update on Tuition

Due to change in the delivery of lessons we will be reducing tuition for the month of April & May.  Tuition will now reflect a 2/3 reduction in rates so each family is only paying 1/3 of tuition that is normally paid.  Invoices will be emailed to all families with a current email.  We want to avoid using postal mail so please send your email to your child's teacher.  Please note that if you were scheduled to pay through June these reduced rates will not begin until next month for your account.

The easiest way to pay tuition is through Tuition Express.  Please email back the form that is linked below if you wish to set up auto payments.  If you wish to pay online at your convenience, the office can send you a link to your tuition express account which will allow you to pay online.  If you wish to postal mail your payment, please do so.  We will be checking mail once a week.

Teachers will be holding conferences via zoom, face-time or by phone with each family.  You will be contacted to set up a time.

St. Catherine of Siena Parish has started live streaming  Mass.  Please follow the link below to attend.

Each weekday morning there will be a different teacher reading a story posted on Facebook.  These will be posted on our YouTube channel as well in case you are not on FB.

We are blessed to be a part of the development of your child!  Please contact us if you have any concerns, questions or comments.

Blessings,
