Twin Rivers Staff and Community,

As our nation prepares to celebrate the Fourth of July, I want to take this moment to wish each and every member of our Twin Rivers team a wonderful and safe holiday. While our celebrations will no doubt be quite different than in the past due to COVID-19 physical distancing guidance, I hope you find some time to enjoy family, friends and traditions that combine to create the quintessential fun that we all enjoy on our nation’s birthday.

I also want to thank you for all that you do to serve our public schools and our students. Receiving a high quality public education is a cornerstone of equity, equality, and upward mobility for our students. It is our responsibility, indeed our privilege, to invest in our students to ensure that they have the skills needed to acquire the “American Dream” (our students’ dreams). It is our responsibility to ensure that the youngest members of our society are taught all of our nation’s history, our system of government and how to exercise their democratic rights.

The role that public schools play in helping to ensure our nation’s democratic principles are upheld cannot be overstated. Your work is powerful. It is essential. It makes a difference. Our theme for the upcoming year is: Every student-every day, leaving no one behind.

With deep gratitude and appreciation,
