Am happy to find in all your letters about Myrtle Beach everything that I personally and spiritually approve of and sanction. All my lovers should cooperate to make Myrtle Beach the spiritual abode for one and all.

Dear Meher Center Family and Friends,

A loving Jai Baba to each of you.

As we begin a new year and a new decade, we want to give everyone a follow-up report on the letters we sent out last fall concerning the Center’s financial picture.

In those communications, we provided an overview of the many different financial challenges that the Center faces. These include a focus on reducing the Center’s operating deficit, the need for funds to support a number of mission-critical projects, and the need for a source of funds for necessary capital developments.

As the financial health of the Center is a shared responsibility for the whole Meher Baba family, we also committed to an ongoing communication program with more-frequent updates.

As a part of last year’s outreach, we shared that the Center’s board of directors had set a goal for 2019 of  increasing  donations by $350,000. This goal was directly focused on reducing the Center’s operating deficit.

We’re very pleased to share with you that last year’s goal was met and exceeded. We’re deeply grateful for this heartwarming response. Last year’s additional support made a big difference in significantly decreasing the 2019 operating deficit.

This year, and for the foreseeable future, the Center will need the wholehearted engagement of the Meher Baba family to meet its financial needs. In order to continue to strengthen the Center’s financial health, our fundraising goal for 2020 is set at a higher level than last year.

Part of the reason for this higher goal is that, as buildings age, as more pilgrims need to be accommodated, and as the pressures of rapid development nearby require active protection of its unique environment, the Center will need to contend with rising expenses every year. Reducing the Center’s operating deficit will also help to preserve and grow its endowment, so that, when hard times come or a major emergency or spending need arises, the funds are on hand.

In His Love and in our love for His Center, we are truly a family. Supporting the Center is one of the opportunities we all have to ensure that it will be here, as we have known it, for generations to come.

You can donate to the Center through our website at mehercenter.org/donate, where you can choose to begin a monthly donation or give a one-time gift. Or if you prefer, you can send a check to the address listed below. If you have an existing monthly donation and would like to increase it, please contact the Gateway at 843-272-5777.

Thanks again for your loving support of the Center. His Home in the West is a priceless gift He has given to all of us.
