Find your garden inspiration June 22
Find inspiration at this year's Association of Northwest Landscape Designers Garden Tour on June 22. From a courtyard garden made for an artist to a private retreat in an urban setting, you’ll see options for outdoor living, tapestries of perennials, conifers and grasses… there’s honestly something for everyone! Bloom Doom TTX prepares providers for Cyanotoxin response
When the City of Salem experienced a water emergency in 2018 due to the presence of cyanotoxins in their water supply, Consortium members sent emergency water distribution trailers to help them deliver clean water to the communitiy. This April, the Consortium conducted an exercise to test our own region's response to cyanotoxins in local water supplies. Called "Bloom Doom," the table top exercise brought together water provider sand state and county partners to test response plans and practice coordination and communication. Read More .
Children's Clean Water Festival 2019
1,400 4th graders from schools across the metro region experienced a day of hands-on learning about water at the 26th Annual Children's Clean Water Festival at Portland Community College, April 30th. The festival supplements the students' science and environmental education curriculum by introducing them to concepts surrounding clean water. The Consortium made sure that both KATU and KUNP news were on hand to capture the day's events - watch here and here .
