Town of Eagle

The Town of Eagle is inviting residents to participate in exploring Home Rule governance. More information is below on the process.

HOME RULE PROCESS:                            
  1. In July the Town Board will be asked to adopt an Ordinance to set the November 6th Election to create the Charter Commission.
  2. Those interested in being on the Charter Commission complete a nomination petition (available in July) for inclusion on the November ballot.
  3. If approved by voters, the Charter Commission begins creating the Charter and submits to the Town Board and citizens.
  4. April 2020 General Municipal Election includes adopting or rejecting the Town Charter.

Continued economic expansion, rising home sales and an increase in wage growth that is on par with home price growth are some of the expectations for the second half of 2019.

Division of Real Estate Advisory: New CBS Contract Change and Closing Instructions Form

On May 10, 2019, the Colorado Real Estate Commission (Commission) adopted a change to the Contract to Buy and Sell Real Estate (CBS) forms, and also adopted a new Closing Instructions form. These forms are effective immediately.
Keeping wildfires at bay: How new technology can help

Companies are rising to meet the wildfire challenge. Here’s why our wildfire assessment tools need to improve, and what the private sector is doing to fix it.
Local property owners can participate in the REALFire Program , a collaboration between Eagle County and the Vail Board of Realtors. REALFire is a free and voluntary program where an expert visits the property, assesses risks and offers property-specific wildfire mitigation recommendations. 
VBR Foundation scholarship deadline
Applications are being accepted for the Vail Board of REALTORS® Foundation (VBRF) Academic Scholarship Award Program. Applicant must be an Eagle County resident enrolling in or returning to a college, university or accredited academic institution of higher learning in the fall of the current year as a full time student. 

Scholarships may be awarded in amounts up to $2,000.00 each.  The deadline to apply is Monday, June 17. Please click below to see criteria and guidelines.

The Vail Pro Designation is an education program created for Vail Board of Realtors ®   members who want to increase their local knowledge in the real estate industry to become local experts.

Step 1:   Review the education  tracking sheet   to determine which classes you want to take.
 
Step 2:   Review the class  schedule   and sign up for the classes you want to take. 

Step 3:   Once you complete 80% of total classes hours (46 hours) submit your Vail Pro Designation   application.
