Fall in love with Ben and Savannah
as they fall in love with each other

I'm giving away two paperback copies of my soul-stirring contemporary women's contemporary novel, Dragonflies at Night: More Than a Love Story!

If you want one, just fill out the short form here and I'll do a random drawing THIS SUNDAY April 18. You'll receive an email notice that you've won, and I'll just ask for your snail mail address after that.
Meet the Characters:
Here's Eva
from "Feathers in the Sand"

I'd like to introduce you to Eva, the eleven-year-old girl who has a really big role in my upcoming novel, Feathers in the Sand (working title subject to change).

This girl really is an incredible kid, but at the beginning of the story, Eva thinks she's just plain ordinary.

She and her mom, Tess, have to figure out a way to deal with a loss (not a death) that they didn't see coming. They are helped along with way by some other fascinating characters like Aunt Kit and Jasper the Friendly Props Guy in Seahaven, Maine. Also—Kalila Jones and her grandmother, Glory, whom you'll meet in upcoming issues.

Meanwhile, I am five weeks into writing the first/rough draft of their story! 40,000 words and counting! Stay tuned . . . I am excited to share more with you in future issues.

Stories That Stir the Soul

Sugar Queen, by Sara Addison Allen. At 27, Josey spends her life catering to her demanding mother. Her only solace is the stash of sweets, romance novels, and travel magazines she keeps hidden in her closet. When a local waitress mysteriously takes up residence in the closet and refuses to leave, Josey is forced outside the confines of her safe, predictable world.

With delightful magical touches, this book is a reminder that moving outside of our comfort zone can have wonderfully unexpected results.
