- Why did the number of deaths in Broomfield almost double?
- Two of Broomfield’s long-term care facilities are in an ‘outbreak’ status (2 or more cases in a 14 day period). There have been a total of 33 cases and 4 deaths in these two facilities. The number of cases includes both staff and residents of the facilities.
- What has changed for faith-based communities and places of worship?
- At this time, no gatherings with non-household members are permitted. We continue to evaluate when gatherings of ten or less will be permissible.
- The City and County of Broomfield’s Office of Emergency Management works with the Broomfield Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (Broomfield VOAD) to provide support and resources in times of need. - Telephone Town Hall: Join the Telephone Town Hall Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m. Residents can call 855.695.3744 the night of, or sign up to be called directly. RSVP and share the Facebook event for updates as well. Town Hall audio is now streamed live on Channel 8 as well. Thank you to the 1,581 participants that joined the Telephone Town Hall last week. If you are not able to make it, listen to the available recordings.
- Broomfield Sing A Long: Sing along with your neighbors and lift your spirits! The community will sing “Sweet Caroline” at 7:55 p.m. before the 8 p.m. howl for healthcare workers, Thursday night at the end of the Telephone Town Hall.

- Back to Business Town Hall: Ask business related questions, from access to business assistance and support to guidance on practices to ensure customer and employee safety, at this telephone town hall at 7 p.m. tomorrow April 29. Call 855.695.3744 (available in Spanish at 855.543.3424) to join. The second Back to Business Telephone Town Hall is tentatively scheduled for May 6 at 1 p.m. Can’t make it? - Enhance Broomfield had now received 134 applications and has made 73 awards thus far, totaling $316,500 and impacting 463 jobs.
- Bridge the Gap has received 104 applications and has dispersed $60,000 in rental/mortgage assistance.

- Delivery Prescriptions Available for those 60+: To best protect the 60+ community members and keep them safe at home, prescription delivery is available for adults 60+ whose medications are filled at Broomfield pharmacies which are unable to deliver essential medications. Federal/State Update:
- CDPHE has released the Safer at Home public health order. A new website landing page has also been released. Read the full press release. Governor Polis also spoke about the Safer at Home orders.
- US Small Business administration are again accepting applications for the Paycheck Protections Program and the Emergency Injury Disaster Loan program. Application acceptance was halted due to funding limitations, but additional funds were secured late last week. Please contact your business bank or SBA lending partner to submit an application. - For Seniors:
- Sign up for weekly check-in calls or find more resources for seniors by calling 303.464.5526.
- For All Residents:
- Access services from Broomfield FISH including food pick up. These services are for anyone struggling financially due to COVID-19. View the April and May food distribution hours.
- Apply now for the Bridge-The-Gap program which provides housing payment assistance to Broomfield residents that have lost wages due to the impact of COVID-19. See eligibility criteria, learn more and apply online at Broomfield.org/BridgeTheGap.

- For Employees: A direct link to file for the expanded Unemployment Insurance programs and benefits and information on other programs, such as Bridging the Gap.
- For Residents to Support Businesses: Information about local businesses serving the community, with adjusted service and hours.
- Businesses can apply for the Enhance Broomfield program, which offers a one-time grant of up to $7,500 which can be used for operating expenses including rent, wages, marketing, utilities, and supplies. The application is also a good step forward in filling out an application for a U.S. SBA loan if a business decided to do so.

How you can help
- Donate Blood: There is an urgent need for blood donations. Visit Vitalant.org or call 303.363.2300 for scheduling or questions.
- Donate Money:
- Donate to the Disaster Relief fund through the Broomfield Community Foundation.
- There is an immediate need for ”stay-at-home” alternatives for unhoused neighbors living in Broomfield. The Towneplace Suites has offered a special rate but additional funding is needed. Donate to the Emergency Sheltering fund through the Broomfield Community Foundation so folks have a place to stay until the end of April.
- Do you have unspent lunch funds in your student's account? You can donate these funds directly to the emergency food program that supports BVSD families in need through The School Food Project. It's as simple as filling out three questions on this form.
- Donate Food: FISH is asking the community to help donate the following most needed items: peanut butter, oatmeal, canned meat, mac & cheese, and spaghettios.

- A Precious Child is accepting cleaning supplies and hygiene items listed on their Amazon wishlists.
- inventHQ is looking for materials to continue making masks for the community. The following items can be dropped off, in a sealed ziptop bag, at the Library Book Drop:

- Governor Jared Polis created the Colorado Covid-19 Innovation Response Team to introduce telehealth/telemedicine service supporting approximately 800,000 uninsured and under-served Coloradans. Help the team provide health services while reducing strain on healthcare facilities, leaving hospital beds open to the most severely ill.
