Resources for Cancer Patients Affected by COVID-19
The spread of COVID-19 has led to much uncertainty and concern around the globe. We are acutely aware of the effects of this pandemic on the cancer community. During these difficult times, CancerCare is still here to offer free resources to those affected by cancer, such as online support groups, individual phone counseling, fact sheets, financial assistance and emotional support.
If you are struggling with anxiety, a good way to cope is to meditate using breathing techniques. Watch this video to learn a breathing technique from CancerCare Clinical Supervisor, Claire Grainger.
2020 Online Auction
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have canceled our 2020 Gala. However, at this time, our financial and psychosocial services are more important than ever to those affected by cancer. As our Gala assists in providing crucial funding to support these services, we hope you will support us despite this cancellation. We are hosting an online auction from April 16 through April 22.
Make sure you've signed up for our upcoming
Connect Education Workshops! These free workshops provide the latest cancer information straight from leading experts, via phone or online. At the end of the workshop, you'll have a chance to ask the experts your own questions.
Special Thank You to Lakeside Jr/Sr High School Student Council!
The Junior High Student Council of Lakeside Junior/Senior High School in Sibley, LA, raised $2,500 for Cancer
Care this past year. The students fundraised in a variety of ways,
including a Pink Pie Challenge and by selling pink ribbon lanyards, pens and candy canes. We are so grateful for their creativity, their donation and their willingness to help!
