Kyle and Rachel are regular participants in Special Ministries activities. Their mother says, “I, as their mom, was very concerned to do any in person events in the beginning, and I'm still very cautious of where they go in the community, but when I would take them to an in-person event the staff would always come to us knowing how I felt and ask what was best for us to make us feel as comfortable as possible….They were awesome and during very difficult times staff was so very creative to make each zoom class as challenging and fun as possible. Staff even took extra time to deliver craft supplies to each home in advance so everyone had what they needed to be part of the zoom classes.”
Kyle: “I liked all the zoom classes, my favorite zoom is game night! Staff was very nice and they accommodated me during COVID. I liked that they delivered the crafts to my home before the classes. All staff was so friendly and nice at all events. I also liked that there were options to have events through zoom or in-person. The schedule was very easy to understand and read. It made me feel safe with the in-person events with all the precautions they took.”
Rachel: “I liked that they cared so much about all the health and safety with everyone that attended the in-person meetings. I felt very comfortable in the beginning of in-person events that they kept everyone 6 feet apart and had assigned seating. I like that they offered so much of the events through zoom for those individuals and myself that are still very nervous to go out in the community. My favorite zoom events are the crafts and cooking. All the staff are wonderful and very nice.”
