A new process for case announcements was enacted on March 26, 2020. The county now follows a similar process that the Oregon Health Authority and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Benton County will announce new COVID-19 cases and fatalities Monday - Friday at 1:00 p.m.

Anticipated increase number of positive COVID-19 cases in Benton County

The Benton County Health Department is preparing for a possible increase in positive COVID-19 cases due to increased COVID-19 testing through the TRACE-COVID-19 project.

TRACE-COVID-19 is a public health project being conducted by Oregon State University researchers to gather timely and lifesaving information about the prevalence and spread of the virus causing COVID-19 in Corvallis.

Benton County Transportation Coronavirus (COVID-19) service update

Benton County Transportation has discontinued the following services in response to COVID-19 until further notice:

  • Coast to Valley Express (ended March 23rd)
  • 99 Express (ended March 30th)
  • Corvallis-Albany Connection (ended March 30th)

Individuals with questions regarding COVID-19 in Benton County may call 541-766-6120, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to reach a County-staffed phone bank.

Benton County Hosts Online Portal for Donations and Volunteering

The Benton County Emergency Operations Center operates Benton County Recovers, a new website dedicated to coordinating donations and volunteers for the COVID-19 pandemic response in Benton County. The website is available at http://bentoncounty.recovers.org.
