Dear Parents,
The schools in the Santa Rosa Diocese, along with our superintendent, Linda Norman, are following the situation with the Corona virus carefully. We are reminding students constantly about hand washing and are sanitizing the surfaces throughout the school often. The constant media coverage has caused additional concern on the part of parents.
The decision to close a school because of the virus will be made by the Sonoma County Department of Health in conjunction with the CDC and will flow through the diocesan school superintendent. Please know that the faculty and I are exploring ways we could manage
home/school remote learning in the event our school is required to close.
Please work with your children at home on hand-washing and other precautions we can all take to prevent the spread of disease and keep your children at home if they have a temperature or cough. Here are the recommended precautions:
·
Stay home if you have a fever or are feeling sick.
·
If you feel sick, call your doctor before going to the hospital to seek treatment.
·
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when sneezing or coughing.
·
Wash your hands with soap and water often. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
·
Routinely clean frequently touched surfaces.
·
The flu vaccine will not protect against COVID-19, but it is highly recommended to help keep you healthy.
If you attended Mass last Sunday you know that the Church is also taking precautions to prevent the spread of illness. None of us want to have our students miss more school days. I hope and pray it will not be necessary.
