John Street Bridge Outreach
Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who packaged over 200 lunches and wrote messages of hope for the homeless and food insecure on Saturday, April 18!
Those 200 lunches were not a gesture; they were a heartfelt commitment of solidarity with those deeply affected by COVID-19 and social inequities and
an expression of our Affirmation for Love, indeed, is the Spirit of this Church and Service its law!
We will be doing this it again, and every other Saturday beginning Saturday, May 2.
Teryl Eisenberg is coordinating this effort and we’re looking for a few people to expand the team. Interested? Please contact David Vita (
david@uuwestport.org).

Thank you!

FORMAL MINISTERIAL ENGAGEMENTS THROUGH THE WEEK
|
|
These are difficult times to be away from each other; our normal connections on Sundays are wonderful, but perhaps not always sufficient. Accordingly, our ministers have developed activities through-out the week to provide outreach, connection, community, and spiritual sustenance. These will all continue at least through early June.

Creating Sabbath Space
A Special Resource for Grief and Loss
|
This is a time of uncertainty and isolation, and it’s also a time of grief. Loss of life. Loss of jobs. Loss of getting to experience once-in-a-lifetime rituals like graduation. It all takes its toll. And most importantly, we need to make space to acknowledge and honor it. For this reason, we’re dedicating an entire packet to grief.
