SWIM STARTERS
Children from 6 months to 3 years old
Registration deadline: Friday, July 10th

YMCA Swim Starters swim lessons help children become comfortable in water and teach parents about water safety. These lessons do not teach children how to survive in water or become accomplished swimmers. Instead, Swim Starters swim lessons create a foundation of aquatic skill through fun and confidence-building experiences. Parents and caregivers learn how to supervise children in water, prevent accidents and plan for emergencies. A caregiver must accompany their child in the water.

Session Dates: July 13th-August 7th
Registration Deadline: Friday, July 10th
Class Day: Thursday
Time: 10-10:30 am
Fee: $30 Members

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
COVID-19 RESPONSE
We are taking every precautionary measure to ensure the health and safety of our athletes. Information changes on a daily basis so we will be updating any changes to our YMCA website and our facebook .
ONE UNIFIED TEAM
“Times are tough, but we are tougher together. May we remember that we are one Unified Team!” -Iowa Athletes

Special Olympics Athletes from across the state have come together through an online virtual movement called “Stay Healthy with Special Olympics Iowa”. This virtual movement has given our athletes the opportunity to connect like never before through a series of online workout challenges, virtual cooking classes and educational information in response to our current global crisis.

As we navigate through these tough times, our athletes continue to inspire us through their hard work and resiliency in the face of fear. We’re unsure when we’ll get back to face to face competition, but when we do, we’ll be ready!
During Phase II of the YMCA reopening, Family Program Services are currently not offering any programming, classes, and workshops in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID 19. Please visit the Y's Facebook and website for updates.
