of July! Wow, we have already gone through half of 2020, where has the time gone? We have all done our second quarter payroll returns for Federal and State taxes. Submitted our unclaimed property reports with the payment and have completed or are working on sales tax quarterly return (after remembering to submit May and half of June tax payments). Thankful all these dates are on our website at

, several California cities will implement minimum wage increases. Generally, employees who perform at least two hours of work in a city are covered by the minimum wage provisions of that city, which would be at or above the California minimum wage rate.

May 14, 2020, Jim Potts from Potts and Associates spoke to us on all the EDD issues that have come up due to Covid-19. Most of us have had to furlough our employees due to the government shut down. Because of the PPP loans we are now bringing back some of these employees and we need let EDD know. Keeping your records straight is going to help with your rate for next year. If you ask an employee to come back and they do not you must let EDD know because they will no longer be able to get unemployment benefits.
June 13, 2020, Chris Mamoulelis & Sam Celly from Celly Services Inc. spoke. They gave us some great information regarding Covid-19 issues that affect our workers comp and OSHA regulations. As things change with Covid-19 so are all the regulations from OSHA. We received information on what to do if someone at your dealership gets Covid-19. Also received information on why it could become a workers comp claim.
