Dear STREB Community,

As we do our best to adjust, shift, settle, agitate, and re-situate ourselves in our respective remote worlds, we continue to learn, evolve and find strength, stability and joy through our remote classes and interactions with so many of you online. Thank you for continuing to join us on this journey.

This week, we shared more beautiful thoughts from Elizabeth about what makes our Action Heroes so special as well as her inclusion as one of "The Renegades" in this T: The New York Times Style Magazine Culture Issue feature.

For our long watch this week, we’re revisiting Elizabeth’s keynote address at the 2014 National Arts Marketing Project Conference . This comes to us from our friends at Americans for the Arts, an organization who does so much great advocacy for the arts - particularly right now. Cue to 38:00 for the start of her talk.
Our Action Heroes shared more of their favorite STREB dances , some cleaning techniques , their morning rituals , and their best mask looks . Associate Artistic Director, Cassandre Joseph gave Simone Biles a run for her money , we checked in with our staff and teaching artists , and we enjoyed a then-and-now look at the company in WALL/SLAM .

Our Action Heroes are also keeping quite active in Zoom rehearsals as they gear up for a performance premiere at our VIRTUAL Action Maverick Awards Benefit . We invite you to learn more about our honoree, Joshua Ramus through his TED Talk about how he re-created the Wyly Theater as a giant "theatrical machine".

And, speaking of Zoom...If you're using Zoom to connect these days, bring a little ACTION into your next meeting, family check-in, or STREB Remote class with one of our three custom STREB Zoom backgrounds that we've created for all of your Zooming needs - now available for download on our STREB Remote page .
