Shoreview unveils new logo
Shoreview City Council approved a new logo and brand at the October 7 city council meeting.

The new logo was designed by Peters Design Company and features the natural elements found in Shoreview. The updated look is part of the city's strategic communication plan that was approved earlier this year.

Fall Cleanup Day October 12
Shoreview and Arden Hills residents can bring garbage not accepted by your regular trash service to Ramsey County Public Works on Cleanup Day for a reduced fee.

Time:  7 am - noon 
Location:  Ramsey County Public Works
(Highway 96 and Hamline Avenue)
Fees:  $30/cars and trucks
$45/trailers
$100/oversized loads

2020 commission openings
Four citizen groups are seeking volunteers:
  • Economic Development Commission
  • Environmental Quality Committee
  • Planning Commission
  • Public Safety Committee

Applications are due November 18.

Halloween Spooktacular
Come join the spooky fun! The Halloween Spooktacular for kids 10 & under includes dancing, crafts, bingo, carnival games and more.

  • Date: Friday, October 25
  • Time: 6:30 - 8 pm
  • Fee: $7/person
  • Location: Community center

City council actions
The Shoreview City Council took the following actions at the October 7 meeting:

  • Approved a new city logo and brand, as detailed above.

  • Held a public hearing and approved an on-sale and Sunday on-sale liquor license for a new restaurant at 159 Grass Lake Place. The new restaurant, Oliver's, is located at the corner of Rice Street and Grass Lake Place and is expected to open in mid-November. 

  • Designated the Shoreview Press as the new legal newspaper for the remainder of 2019. The Shoreview-Arden Hills Bulletin recently closed.
