Spring vacation! We made it! And I think we all deserve it!

We've used a lot of brain cells these last five weeks learning new things, troubleshooting issues, settling into new routines, practicing patience, trying to stay healthy!

It's time to take a break, hopefully get outside and do something different.

We'd love for you to start the vacation with our reverse parade scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. Additional details are listed farther down in this newsletter. Our teachers and staff are missing their students!

I hope everyone enjoys a restful vacation week.

Ms. Ann E. Dougal
Principal

 Registration

Registration materials and tuition deposits are now due.  We have extended the deadline to May 1st but ask that you mail your paperwork and deposit to the school as soon as you are able.  Remember that all registrations returned after May 1st will require a $200 tuition deposit.

Thank you!

Don't Miss The Fun!

  We LOVE A Parade!

Our faculty and staff have some fun planned! To kick off spring vacation week, we invite you to join us for a "reverse parade."  Our faculty from grades kindergarten through grade 8 will line a parade route around St. Michael's Academy on  Monday, April 20th beginning at 10 a.m.

We hope you will join us and drive by. Our parade route will ask families to enter on Wheeler Avenue off of Plumtree Road, turn right onto Arvilla, and right onto Eddywood.  Please be sensitive to traffic in all directions and remember to leave space for cars to depart off of Eddywood back on to Plumtree Road. It would also be helpful if cars could approach Wheeler Avenue from the Nathan Bill playground side of Plumtree.

Please remember there is no stopping along the way and no getting out of your car.  We want to be  safe while we are having  fun!

See you there!

Yearbooks

Yearbooks!

Year book ordering is no longer available online.

BUT

Parents/students still have the opportunity to mail in your order with a check to the school. The cost of a yearbook is $26. The school did order some extra copies!

Kindergarten Students Have Been Hard At Work

 Grade 1

Amazing First Grade Work!

Our first grade students have been working on their writing skills! Some have been writing thank you letters and some have been writing in their journals.

 Grade 2

Grade 2 Artwork

Mrs. Dean's second grade students did an art project for their "choice" day.  Brayden and Raymond sent in some great creations!

Grade 5

  Students Learn About Earth Day

The 5th graders began the week reading a little information about Earth Day which is celebrated every year on April 22nd. It is a day to think about ways to care for our planet. The students were asked to create a "poster" reminding people of the dangers of littering or the benefits of using reusable containers. Here are some great ideas!

Thank You For Sending Photos

We continue to receive some fantastic photos from our parents and grandparents. Keep up the good work and keep the photos coming!

Food For Thought

"Even on the cross He did not hide Himself from sight; rather, He made all creation witness to the presence of its Maker. Then, having once let it be seen that it was truly dead, He did not allow that temple of His body to linger long, but forthwith on the third day raised it up, impassible and incorruptible, the pledge and token of His victory. "

Prayer Corner

St. Michael the Arch angel, pray for us!

We pray for our brothers and sisters across our nation and across the world. May God give everyone strength during this especially stressful time.

We pray in a special way for:

Robert Lavoie
Jocelyn Montanez Family
John Logan
Margaret Tabb
+ Gerald Boyce (anniversary)

And we pray for our recently departed  and for those lives that have been taken by the Covid-19 virus across the world.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
