THE PITFALLS OF PRIVATE SCHOOL VOUCHERS
THERE IS CONCERN THAT VOUCHER PROGRAMS DON'T PROVIDE all the civil rights protections that are guaranteed in public schools. Research shows that federal anti-discrimination laws and statutory state protections do not uniformly ensure that students outside of the public school system have unambiguous protection against discrimination. In the crosshairs are issues related to disabilities, gender, sexual orientation, religion, race, etc.
