Folsom Middle, Empire Oaks principals named
The Board of Education on Thursday, May 16, approved the following selections:

Terri Daniels, Principal, Folsom Middle School:
Daniels' career in education spans more than 30 years. For the last two years Terri has served as the principal of the Buckeye School of the Arts, a diverse TK-8 campus in Redding. For six years before that, she was the principal and superintendent of the Shaffer Elementary School District in Lassen County. Throughout her career she has maintained a focus on instructional leadership and collaboration while maintaining a school culture of learning and positive character development. Daniels' depth and breadth of experience, and her understanding of the skills needed to work in a large middle school environment, will make her an exceptional fit at Folsom Middle for years to come.

Sara Parenzin, Principal, Empire Oaks Elementary: Parenzin is a familiar face on Team FCUSD, as she served for eight years as our District's TK-8 Curriculum Lead Teacher for English-language arts. Since 2016, she has led Mather Heights Elementary as its principal and made an immediate impact by building strong relationships and trust with her staff, families, and students. Before taking the helm at Mather Heights, Parenzin successfully served as an Elementary Assistant Principal at Russell Ranch and Cordova Villa elementary schools. She joined the District in 2002 as a sixth-grade ELA teacher at Mills Middle. All of this experience will serve her well at Empire Oaks, where her deep knowledge, breadth of skills, and strong rapport with stakeholders will help carry this school's momentum in the coming years.
