The DC CFAR congratulates the recipients of the Spring 2021 Pilot Awards which provide funds to early stage and new HIV investigators to assist them in the development of their NIH-funded research careers, and the new Academic-Community Partnership Awards which provide funds to Co-Principal Investigator teams consisting of one early stage or new HIV academic investigator and one community investigator. Join the DC CFAR Basic Sciences Core Orbitrap Open House

Please join the DC CFAR Basic Sciences Core for an Open House via Zoom on July 21st from 12:00-1:00 pm ET. This event will act as a training seminar focused on the Orbitrap Exploris 480 Mass Spectrometer. It will include a presentation by Thermo Fisher Scientific Specialist Christopher Bolcato, featuring its uses for quantitative and single cell proteomics. FUNDING, TRAINING AND MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES

The AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) Network in collaboration with the NIAID Division of AIDS (DAIDS) has developed a new pathway for the conduct of small experimental trials that aim to advance efforts related to HIV remission and cure utilizing the infrastructure of the ACTG Network.
The HHS Office of Minority Health Will Award Three Awards for the Minority Leaders Development Program. Eligible Applicants Will Apply to Train Individuals in Health Equity and Leadership.
The "HIV Prevention Research Advocate Certification Program" is a free, 20-week course designed to address the lack of minority representation within research protocol development and participation, and also increase the development of HIV advocacy training.
The Inter-CFAR Implementation Science Working Group is accepting applications for an NIH-funded training opportunity in implementation science (IS) for early stage investigators (ESIs) engaging in HIV-related research.
The MACC+ is providing IS Consultations to EHE NIH supplement recipients and the CFAR community. For more information, click here.
The purpose of this RFA is to fund projects to utilize HAILO data and specimens, with a focus on age-related issues in HAILO. The RFA is targeting early career investigators to submit proposals for pilot studies for completion within one year. The deadline is July 28.
