We would like to thank our outgoing President, Rob W. Armstrong, QC. Rob joined the Board in 2015 and has served on many committees and task forces. 

Rob's leadership guided the Law Society through a strategic planning process, which charts an exciting agenda for the next five years.

Kent
Kent Teskey, QC, begins his term as the 2020-21 President of the Law Society of Alberta today. He is one of the youngest Presidents in our history at the helm of the Board.

Kent joined the Board in 2015. He practises in Edmonton exclusively in the area of criminal defence law and has significant experience defending against regulatory and professional discipline allegations.

Darlene W. Scott, QC, begins her term as the 2020-21 President-Elect of the Law Society of Alberta today.

Darlene became a Board member in 2014. She is a senior partner in the Edmonton office of Dentons Canada LLP and practises in the areas of commercial law, real estate and lending.

Lou Pesta, QC, has joined the Board to fill the vacancy left by outgoing President, Rob Armstrong, QC.

Lou is a senior counsel at Walsh LLP where he is a leading authority in real estate law. He also instructs law courses across the province to both realtors and lawyers.
