Jewish Pro-Life Foundation Newsletter 26 July 2021 - 17 Av 5781
Monthly Mishpacha Starts Sunday August 1, 2021
✡︎ Good morning ✡︎

We've been thinking for a long time about starting a monthly zoom meeting where we can get together for an hour or so for conversation and connection. Personally, I feel the need for encouragement and emotional support to sustain a positive attitude amidst the current social and political attacks on life and those who advocate for it. You may feel this need, too. If so, please join us!

We're calling our get together Monthly MIshpacha! Please attend this private, confidential conversation scheduled on the first Sunday of each month at 11 am ET and find your Jewish pro-life family! Our first meeting will be next Sunday, August 1, 2021.

We will schedule a 90 minute session, but you can come in or leave at anytime. Because this will occur on the first Sunday of every month, it will allow us to also add a movie or video of interest without extra scheduling issues.

I've set up the registration so that you can register once and that registration will work on subsequent Sundays. Also, to maintain safety and confidentiality, I will receive an email confirmation of each registration so I know who to expect. If you want to invite someone, please send them the registration link below. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Please register in advance at:

As a reminder, a notice about Monthly Mishpacha will appear in each newsletter. Drop in when you can. We are really looking forward to seeing you next Sunday!
Our Amicus brief was filed at the Supreme Court. We put the outcome into HaShem's hands. The first link below takes you to the list of Amicus briefs filed for the Dobbs case. We are listed near the bottom because we were the latest to file. The list is worth a look! The second link below is the link to the actual brief.

ONE JEW’S LOOK THROUGH JUDAISM AT ABORTION

‘For every abomination to the Lord, which He hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their
daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods’
Deuteronomy XII, 31

“The story of the Binding of Isaac opens the age-long warfare of Israel against the abominations of child sacrifice, which was rife among the Semitic peoples, as well as their Egyptian and Aryan neighbors. In that age, it was astounding that Abraham’s God should have interposed to prevent the sacrifice, not that He should have asked for it. A primary purpose of this command, therefore, was to demonstrate to Abraham and his descendants after him that God abhorred human sacrifice with an infinite abhorrence. Unlike the cruel heathen deities, it was the spiritual surrender alone that God required. Moses warns his people not to serve God in the manner of the surrounding nations. ‘For every abomination to the Lord, which He hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods’ (Deuteronomy XII, 31). All the Prophets alike shudder at this hideous aberration of man’s sense of worship, and they do not rest till all Israel shares their horror of this savage custom. It is due to the influence of their teaching that the name Ge-Hinnom, the valley where the wicked kings practiced this horrible rite, became a synonym for ‘Hell’.”

In this episode of American Thought Leaders, Jan Jekielek, sits down with China human rights advocate Reggie Littlejohn, founder and president of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers, to discuss the campaign to move or boycott the 2022 Beijing Olympics. Most of the interview centers around forced abortion in China and Reggie's secret underground network saving the lives of baby girls and elderly widows in China, the forgotten victims of China’s one-child policy. It's well worth watching!
