A Message From The Chamber Office
|
|
Dear Chamber Members and Friends,
I hope you are all safe and doing well. I'm aware of several member-businesses that sustained considerable damage from Storm Ida. Additionally, many in our region are still without power to their homes and/or are cleaning up from water and wind damage. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. The good news...power is ON at the Chamber office. If anyone is in need of a remote place to work on Friday, stop by the Chamber office to set up temporary shop in our conference room! If I can be of further assistance, please call the Chamber office at 610-489-6660.
Thank you David Zellars, Montco Director of Commerce, for passing along Hurricane IDA Recovery Information: https://www.montcopa.org/3878/Hurricane-Ida. The webpage includes this morning press briefing on the storm as well as additional information. Most importantly, there is a form that the County is asking any property owner with storm damage (be in a residential or business property) to complete as part of the process to document the damage from the storm. This information is critical to ensuring that resources are available with the certainty of a federal disaster declaration forthcoming
Please note that due to storm cleanup, the Holiday Party Committee meeting today has been rescheduled to Thursday, September 9th at 1:30pm.
Thanks to PVCC Board Director, Sodiah Thomas, for taking the lead to restart PV WIN events. Ladies, please complete a quick survey to help us plan upcoming events.
A big welcome to new member, Richelle Deane, Realty ONE Group Restore, specializing in residential properties; single family homes, townhouses and condos.Buying a home is a life changing experience and Richelle's knowledge of the Greater Philadelphia area and the Montgomery C ounty real estate market are key advantages her client's success.
We also welcome Lee Stevenson to the PV Chamber. Lee is a resident of Spring Mountain. She joined the PV CHamber after attending the 1st Colonial Community Bank Mixer last week, and quickly became involved by joining the PVCC Events Committee!

Updated Keystone HMO CHIP Rates Effective July 1, 2021!
It’s almost back-to-school time and, as you know, schools require students to be up-to-date on their immunizations. At Independence Blue Cross, we send text and email reminders to families enrolled in Keystone HMO CHIP, reminding them to get vaccinations and well visits out of the way.
No family earns too much for their child to enroll in Keystone HMO CHIP plans. The premiums for our Keystone HMO CHIP plans may change a little bit each year, and now the latest rates have been announced for all our plans. We’re happy to announce rates have decreased for some of our products. These new rates go into effect on July 1, 2021. You can view the latest rates online at ibx.com/chip.
While the numbers may be a little different, all the plans have the same comprehensive health care benefits that have been taking good care of kids’ needs this past year and with no deductibles! I encourage you to share this information with your families.
Please give me an opportunity to speak with you and the families you serve about the value these plans bring to families’ lives. Karron Ross, Community Outreach Coordinator, Independence Blue Cross

Montgomery County Updates

3rd Dose Pfizer & Mederna Vaccine Available
COVID-19 vaccines are available to everyone age 12 and over! The three COVID-19 vaccines authorized for use in the US (Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J) have been rigorously tested and shown to be highly safe and highly effective in both laboratory and real-world settings. To date, more than half a million Montco residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine while over 3.6 billion doses have been administered worldwide.
Getting vaccinated can help keep your family, friends, community – and yourself – safe. It’s also the best way to end the pandemic and ensure a lasting return to normalcy.
Note: The Montgomery County Office of Public Health is now accepting appointments for a third dose of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for immunocompromised individuals. For a list of qualifying conditions, click here.
Have questions about the COVID-19 vaccines or how the vaccination process works? Check out our FAQ page for more details.
