Junior Family Newsletter
May 2019
Dear Class of 2020 Families,

The academic year has come to a close. It has been an absolute pleasure serving as your Class of 2020 Representatives, and we look forward to catching up with you again in the fall as we begin our students’ senior year!

Following the conclusion of finals on the 8th, our students will begin their summer break. Many students will travel home and many others will take on jobs, internships, service opportunities, and education both abroad and at William & Mary, through programs in Williamsburg, Washington DC, and more.

We would like to extend our gratitude to you for a successful school year at William & Mary and we look forward to your student’s return in the fall! Class newsletters will begin again this August. We here at William & Mary hope that this newsletter is valuable and finds you well. And as always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!

Sincerely,
Nina and Arthur Anton P ’20

Applying for Graduation

One Tribe One Day

Thank you for being a part of our biggest and boldest One Tribe One Day yet. This was one transformational day that will immediately impact our campus and beyond — all because of your support.  #OneTribeOneDay

Planning Ahead for Study Abroad

According to an annual study performed by the Institute of International Education, W&M has the highest percentage of undergraduates studying abroad among public universities in the U.S. If your student is considering studying abroad during his or her time at W&M, summer is a great time to start planning. Have questions? Throughout the summer, the Global Education Office will have walk-in hours 11 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Thank you for making such a powerful impact on students and the William & Mary community. On One Tribe One Day this year, 13,144 donors gave nearly $2.5 million to initiatives across the university! More than 2,500 parents made a donation during this inspiring day of giving and celebration, and we loved seeing your stories on social media.

Thanks to the generosity of families all year we are ever closer to our goal of $1 million to the Parents Fund, and that means students will have access to counseling services, academic enrichment programs, career development trips and internships, leadership training, and so much more. Without you, the student experience would not be as life changing as it is for the many who benefit from your support.

Help students flourish, and consider a gift to the Parents Fund before June 30, 2019.
