Race to Preakness: A Baltimore Celebration
Baltimore celebrates the Preakness Stakes, horse racing’s second jewel of the Triple Crown, with a week of fun and interactive festivities. Race to Preakness: A Baltimore Celebration features Happy Hours in Center Plaza, Pee Wee Preakness for youngsters, Downtown Lunchtime Happenings and a Pre-Preakness Inner Harbor Party with a fireworks finale.
Nominate an Outstanding Local Leader

The Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts will honor a leader in Baltimore City as honorary grand marshal during the 20th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Parade in 2020. Nominees should be residents of Baltimore City who have made a significant contribution to their community through activism, the arts, volunteerism or other community-based work. Submissions are open now through Sunday, September 1, 2019.
Bike to the Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar
The Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar hosts "Bike to Market Day" for First Sundays on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 7am–noon. In celebration of National Bike month, First Sundays features Bikemore, BYKE Collective, Baltimore Bicycle Works, Hold Fast, Milezarelli Bike Club as well as SPARK bicycle powered charging station. Local organizations, businesses and individuals will offer free valet parking for bikes, bike parts and accessories for sale, and cycling information near the Pleasant Street entrance.

School 33 Art Center Summer Exhibitions
School 33 Art Center features the works of both artists-in-residence and guests artists. Exhibitions and programming explore diverse areas of contemporary visual art. School 33 Art Center's 2019 Studio Resident Biennial , Crisis of Connection and Tongue Puddles are on view May 9 through August 24, 2019.

The Cloisters May Open House
Open houses at The Cloisters provide visitors an opportunity to talk with vendors and staff about their upcoming special event. Participating vendors include bridal dress shops, caterers, DJs, florists and photographers. Visit the scenic and quaint attraction on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 5-8pm.

Bromo Seltzer Art Center Exhibition
Multimedia and Baltimore-based artist Marianna Mills displays her artistic freedom in Relive the Moment , on view through August 31, 2019. The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower resident artist offers different views of her works of art, from framed photography to digital canvas.

Save the date! @bluewaterbmore and @treebaltimore will offer Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar visitors free trees on Sunday, June 2. The organizations are collaborating to provide a variety of species ranging from smaller flowering and fruiting trees to large canopy trees. The giveaway is for Baltimore City/Baltimore County residents and must be planted private property in a yard with homeowner permission.
