Dear Junior Parents,

Moadim L’Simcha! I hope you all enjoyed the first days of Pesach and that your families are all safe and healthy.

I know that many of your daughters are very focused on preparing for the college application process and have many questions about how the process may look next year, given what's going on in the world right now. Please know that the current situation regarding colleges and standardized testing is constantly changing, as every university tries to figure out the right approach to take. Colleges are slowly updating college counselors about updates regarding testing and deadlines.

I have several calls over the next few weeks that will hopefully bring us many more answers and clarity. I will update you and your daughters as soon as I hear some concrete news.

In the meantime, I have started a google spreadsheet where I will continue to add any updates that come to light.

Following Pesach, I will be setting up Zoom college planning meetings with each of your daughters to ensure that each of them has an individualized to-do list and a formalized college application list. Once these meetings have taken place, I will hold a series of college essay writing workshops to prepare our girls to craft their personal statements over the summer.

In terms of standardized testing ; the next two dates for testing are Sunday, June 7th for SAT and Sunday, June 14th for ACT . When classes resume, I will set up two Zoom calls: one to help your daughter register for ACT and one to help them register for SAT. If your daughter is testing with the SAT for the first time and does not have a paper registration packet, please let me know ASAP so that I can mail one out to your home in time for her to register by May 1.

In the meantime, rest assured that your daughters are in good company with the rest of the Juniors worldwide who find themselves, for lack of a better word, a bit stuck. I promise to get you all the information you need as soon as it becomes available and to work with you and your family to make sure this process remains easy and smooth.

Enjoy the rest of Pesach and please feel free to reach out if you have any questions at all!
