Free Wi-Fi Hotspot
During the current crisis, Ting has worked with our community to try and make sure everyone has access to critical communications infrastructure. Together, we have activated public drive-up Wi-Fi so people can access the Internet from their vehicle at the IX Park. Wi-FI can be accessed at this location from 7am to 8pm seven days a week. Below is a map of the park. Wi-Fi is activated in places that are highlighted in yellow.
There is a splash page welcoming Ting Park & Wi-Fi users that reminds people to stay in their vehicles, minimize social interaction, maintain social distancing protocols and adhere to the suggestions made by our local leaders.
In a further effort to support the Charlottesville community, Ting Internet has divided a $1650 donation among three amazing local organizations—the PB&J Fund, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and the Feeding the Frontline initiative—to help those who need access to food supplies at this time.
Please feel free to share this information with those that may need to teleconference for work, check in on friends and family, or grab some online education resources.
