TTN Atlanta - Making Moves in the Right Direction
May 2019
On the Move
TTN women are making strides in their new found status. Some are busy in their careers with retirement on the horizon; others are somewhat in between, working some and putting a foot in the leisure world as well; while many of us have made the move to retire. We have new retirees (less than a year) and others over 5 years. Whichever group you belong to we all had to learn how to adjust to having more time on our hands, how to make plans and goals to fulfill our needs and certainly a chance to play, be it travel, hobbies or meeting new or old friends. We are moving and evolving to be women with a purpose. Though different from before, it is certainly a worthwhile journey.
Programs - Try To Attend!!
We enjoy going to various locations and participating in activities with fellow members.
Try something new, come out and meet and mingle with other members at events, SIG activities and Peer Group meetings.
We encourage you to bring friends, prospective members, and female acquaintances to any of our programs so they too can experience what TTN has to offer. Keep in mind all events require a headcount days before the actual date. Please register as early as your schedule allows . We consider all schedules and hope everyone will find an event that is convenient and sign up.

They are designed for women in the community to join TTN members to share and learn . We thank our program participants, Vicki Ellis, Lori Levey, Dr. Mary Gresham and our moderator, Rhoda Margolis.
SIGs and TPGs
We continue to have some great Special Interest Groups (SIGs) activities as part of the Atlanta TTN experience. If you are interested in a SIG, look for information in our newsletter and emails with information about the date and location. Sign up to attend as many as you like.  Share with a friend and let them experience the power of TTN! Guests can attend meetings for a limited number of times.

Transition Peer Groups (TPGs) are for women to share and learn from each other. While the groups are meant to create a supportive environment, be aware that any member of TTN can go to any Peer Group meeting with the exception of Cobb. We have them set up by location to make it easier for you to attend one closer to your home. Contact the person listed under each group and let them know you will attend.  Only members should attend our Peer Group meetings.
Book Club SIG
There is NOT a book club meeting in May. Patti Schropp has graciously offered to host in June. The selected book is "The Woman's Hour" , by Elaine Weiss . For those of you planning to attend this SIG and not attended as of yet, the upcoming book is selected, maybe pick it up and be ready to discuss. July is  " The Heart's Invisible Furies"  by John Boyne.
Members enjoyed another great meeting on April 12th, pictured are Marianna Murphy, Joann Bowens, Flynn Geiger, Anna Apostolou, Julie Bolen, and Susan Sink
We met all Mondays in April. The group takes a break for lunch at each game.
Mah Jongg SIG
The great thing about this SIG is the bonding, sharing lunch and of course, playing Mah Jongg on a weekly basis. This group has been playing for 3 years and keeps growing. A pleasant way to spend a Monday.  If interested in participating or have questions, please contact Elaine Cloward. We have lots of fun in this group. Please remember to RSVP!
We have 12 members playing and would not mind more joining in.
