SEPTEMBER 4, 11 & 25: Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum, Saginaw
WHERE:  Saginaw Valley State University, 7400 Bay Road, Saginaw, MI 48710

COST: Free

Drop in at the Museum from 1 to 4 pm to create your own Colorful Tube Sculpture like Regional Biennial artist Claudia Hershman! Participants will collage, draw, and paint patterns on a smaller scale cardboard tube and then create negative silhouettes of people or other things directly over the patterns using white paint! Take them home to display or share on social media (tag us at #MarshallFredericksMuseum). A fun and free activity for all ages!

SEPTEMBER 6: Wooden Covered Bridge, Frankenmuth
Wooden Covered Bridge Labor Day Walk
WHERE: Covered Bridge Lane, Frankenmuth

WHEN: September 6 at 12 PM

COST: Free

The Wooden Covered Bridge Labor Day Walk this year will take place at noon, Monday, September 6. This event will begin on the east side of the bridge. Walkers will arrive approximately five minutes later at the Fischer Platz outdoor café, located at the southwest corner of the Bavarian Inn Restaurant. Once there, all in attendance will be able to enjoy musical entertainment along with their favorite food and beverages that will be available for purchase.

SEPTEMBER 9: Online with the Public Libraries of Saginaw
Mother Goose Rock and Rhyme Puppet Shows

COST: Free

Puppets take traditional fairy tales and bring them to life, define, them, or just make them funny in a performance format. Visit the Public Libraries of Saginaw Facebook page for new puppet shows posted on Thursdays!

Preschool Storytime
WHERE: 500 Federal Avenue, Saginaw

COST: Free

Free preschool storytime for kids ages 3-5 is held in a different area in the museum each month. This month's area is our Post Office Exhibit, and the story will be inspired by that area. There will be a short exploration along with some playtime.

Limited to 10 kids plus their parents and RSVP is a must!

Airport Fun Fest

This event includes aircraft on display along with pilot participation in contest to test their skills. We also have a classic car show, and many exhibitors and crafters on the grounds. Please come out for the day and enjoy the fun.

HOW TO CONNECT DURING PARENTING CHALLENGES

Each parent comes with their own way of raising their children. At times, differences in parenting styles can cause friction and make parenting together difficult. The good news is that cooperative parenting in a relationship is achievable, and we have tools to help.

In this course, you will gain the necessary skills to navigate parenting with your partner and learn better ways to communicate in challenging situations.
