Colorado Air and Space Port Partnership Announced

Adams County and Colorado Air and Space Port (CASP) recently announced a partnership with PD Aerospace of Japan to operate at CASP. The announcement occurred less than a year after the Federal Aviation Administration gave the approval to Colorado to pursue a Space Port designation at the general aviation airport formally known as the Front Range Airport in Watkins. PD Aerospace is developing a reusable sub-orbital spaceplane to take the first steps towards unmanned space flights and the launching of satellites. The long-term goal would be development of vehicles for space tourism and eventual point-to-point transportation. Aerospace is a targeted industry for business growth in the region.
Support Small Business Week: May 5-11

May 5-11 is National Small Business Week, which recognizes and celebrates the critical contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners to the community. City Council will declare its support for small businesses in Commerce City with a proclamation on May 6. The North Metro Denver Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and a small business from the community will be on hand to accept the proclamation on behalf of small businesses in the city.
Google Training Rescheduled for Sept. 27

The Commerce City Small Business Workshop Series Training previously scheduled in April will now be on September 27. A national Google trainer will show attendees how to promote their business's online presence. Workshop attendees will learn best practices for creating a free Google My Business listing, improving their website's visibility in Google's organic search results, and advertising opportunities on Google. Under Construction

B & W Construction is under construction on a 19,380 square-feet speculative industrial building at the northwest corner of E. 96th Avenue and Havana Street. The building will house two tenants (15,308 square-feet and 4,072 square-feet). 

 

Retail Corner

Ted's Philly Cheesesteaks and Mexican Grill recently opened at 7215 E. 72nd Avenue (72nd and Quebec Street). The restaurant serves burgers, fries, burritos, and tacos and is open from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday. 


A new, full-service restaurant is coming to Commerce City - El Coco Pirata. The menu will include fresh seafood and sushi. It will be located at 5411 Quebec Street and open 7 days a week, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. This is the fourth restaurant for the new owner and is planned to be open by early summer.


Little Pub Company, a Colorado-based company with over 20 restaurant and bar concepts across the Denver metropolitan area, has closed on property at the northeast corner of E. 104th Avenue and Chambers Road in the Second Creek Marketplace development. The new owner is building a 5,500 square-foot, full-service restaurant and bar called Statehouse 38 that will serve American-style food for lunch and dinner. The restaurant will include a full bar area, an outside patio with a fire pit, and a bocce ball court.
